Time to turn a heel

There was lots of knitting done at knit night last night and I'm ready to turn my first heel! I just love this yarn, the colors are all mottled and the stripes fairly subtle up close but more distinct from a distance. Any words of wisdom for the this heel turning experiment?

i only turned my first heel last month, but i can tell you this: it's not as hard as it sounds. if you just take the instructions piece by piece instead of looking at the whole "heel road" that lies in front of you, (maybe look at it once so you know where you're going!) it's actually kind of fun! good luck & enjoy! go shelby!

I turned my first heel last week and it was no where near as hard as I thought. My advice is: even if the instructions sound REALLY crazy, just do it and it'll all come together in the end. Good luck!

Breathe with me, yes....in and ....out and once more. Good, now say after me " I am the sock master, I can turn heels without thinking, I am in control, life is good" Did it work, oh well, large glass of wine, sit back , follow instructions to the letter and you can't go wrong! She says having only done one sock herself!!!!

the biggest help was the socks 101. and make sure you turn when it says to.

Beautiful yarn! I always get a bit of an adrenaline rush when turning a heel.
