First Toe-Up Sock

I finished my first toe-up sock this morning and it turned out... a little odd. But it works which is what counts, right?

I used elann.com's toe-up chevron sock free pattern, afterthought heel, size 1 DPN's and plymouth Sockotta yarn. Normally I'd cast on the second one right away, but it'll have to wait for the completion of my Sockapalooza socks which I'm still hmmmming and hawwwing over. :) Happy knitting!

I was wondering if you could elaborate on your experience with your first toe up sock. I would like to try a toe up sock, but have been nervous about the eyelet-like holes that I've heard appear at the heel. What was your experience? What was odd about the sock?

Jen, I elaborate quite a bit on my blog, thought I'd save the space over here. :) You can find that entry at this address: http://www.goodnightweb.com/journal/archives/2005/02/first_toeup_soc.php
