Bernat Sox

These are from the free online pattern called Sole Solution. It's designed for 2 circs but I used dpns instead.

The yarn is really bright, I didn't realise how different these were until I looked at the photograph, the colours are so bright that you don't dwell on the pooling!

Another finished pair

Finished my first ever pair of toe ups, used Regia Color yarn and must have really liked the color cause I still have 2 more balls of the same yarn. This is the pair that I did the double knit cast on for the toe, never could get my head around the figure 8 cast on, could do it but did not like the look when done (if I was even doing it the correct way). Now back working on the Opal Musica's, half way down the foot of first sock. Have stitches for top of foot on a 2.5 mm needle and bottom on a 2 mm, using 2 16 inch circs. Have done this before and never noticed or felt any difference in row count when I kitchenered toes together.

My Fourth Pair!

Image hosted by

These were made with DGS Confetti Superwash on size 2 DP's. They will go in the Christmas Box - recipient to be decided at a later date! I started my 5th pair last night in Opal, a much nicer yarn than this. It just feels better and I know when I get finished with them it's going to be hard to put them in the Christmas Box!!! I'm really enjoying seeing all these great socks.

My Third Pair

My 3rd pair of socks are done and I've cast on for the 4th! Here are the Fortissima socks that are done. fortissima9073finished
And here are the Opal Brasil #5005 socks that I started on 12" Addis. opalbrasil5005begin
Yep, I am definitely addicted! Please add my stars and a link to my blog ( Thanks and happy knitting!

Another pair finished! These are super simple on size 7 needles. It was mainly about the yarn on this project. A hemp yarn from a secret pal. It was great to work with on larger needles and feel terrific on the feet. These are the third pair since joining the group. Can I have some sweet little stars now:) Posted by Hello

Fuglies are finally done

Finished fuglies last trip out, not to bad once I added all the darker colors. Opal silk & wool mix is the main color then I added about 4-6 rows of dark colored leftovers in between every Opal color, gave them a way different look IMHO. Like them was better this way than just the Opal by itself

Pretty Petals

I finished these up the other day and boy, did they need a blocking! I made these for my mom for Mother's Day. I hope she likes them, because if she doesn't I'll take 'em back!

I just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying looking at everyone else's socks. Ya'll have given me some great ideas! Keep 'em comin'!

Oh, almost forgot, this pattern comes from The Townsend Sock Knit Along.

New pair of socks--hot off the needles! These are actually my second pair (can I have a couple stars now). The pattern is Cabled Rib from Spring IK. I used Fortissima Socka yarn. It was terrific to work with. These are the first pair of socks that I am actually keeping for myself. Socks just make such great presents... Posted by Hello

Toe-up striped sock

I am so proud of this tiny sock:

Paperino's stripes

I knitted it with no pattern, just started with 8 stitches and kept knitting, toe up!

Isn't this a cheerful sock? My sock swap partner said she liked bright colors. This was the brightest sock yarn my LYS had in stock. I think it fits the bill.  Posted by Hello

The knit picks Sock Garden Geranium socks are finally finished. Posted by Hello

Kool Aid Socks

I dyed this yarn last fall using the graduated method. Unfortunately I didn't make the skeins the same length, so the result is mismatched socks. Oh, well, lessons learned... Regardless, I love the colors and they fit perfect. Next up is a pair of socks for Mother's Day in some tone on tone blue Regia.

Hug My Feet

I finished a pair of socks for Valentine's Day that I never got to post since I mailed them off so soon. I made these 100% cotton socks for my mother out of Esprit's Sock It To Me! Collectionin Nautical Print. The best part about this yarn... the elastic! They feel so awesome on your feet! My mother actually wears them as a sort of slipper around the house. They are not really warm but just very comfy. The elastic really makes them mold to your feet and sort of hug them.

New England

I finished this pair last night. The pattern is called "New England" from Nancy Bush's Knitting on the Road. I love this book ... lots of beautiful patterns. However, I don't really like the toe-shaping of this one, which is my first time using such method. You have to k2tog at the end of each needle. Next time I'll switch to the traditional method.

Another Pair

These are Samantha's Fixation Socks which is a free online pattern. It's a mock cable with a four row pattern repeat, really easy to learn and quick to knit up. The pattern tells you to do 'your favourite' heel and toe so it helps to have other Fixation patterns to hand, I used the heel from Broadripple Socks and the toe from Pretty Comfy socks and it worked just fine.

I used Cascade Fixation in pink variegated that I bought off Ebay. Now I just have to decide which pattern to cast on for next!

Socks, Part II

I finally finished my second pair of socks since joining this group effort here. The above socks are a basic sock pattern with a 48 stitch cast on and I used the waffle sock pattern down the leg and at the top of the foot portion. These socks are very comfy. I am thinking they will make great socks to lounge around in, watch DVD's with the kids, etc. Oh yes, the yarn is an acrylic baby yarn. I know, I know...Eeeeek on the acrylic. LOL!

Have a great weekend!
