I really have been knitting! Sorry it has taken me so long to post. These are my second toe-up socks and I'm thrilled with the results. This is Opal yarn and really are much prettier and brighter than this picture shows. I've started another pair of Opal yarn toe-ups and have one more sock for a pair for hubby.

I may not have posted but I am knitting socks! I'm so impressed by the socks that are being made. I'll post pictures of my next two pairs of finished socks soon.

And Baby Makes 6

Here is my 6th pair of socks for the knitalong. These are my sockapal2za socks in the swirling rib and eyelet pattern knit with 1 strand of Skacel Trampoline and 1 strand of lace weight alpaca. I have a pair of footies and the rainbow socks that should be done in the next week or so. I am a sock knitting fool!

Feather and Fan

Finished these for my Mom's birthday.

feather

Click the photo for a larger image. They are the Feather and Fan pattern from Socks Socks Socks, but done toe-up, in Wildfoote (from Brown Sheep). They are very soft, and Mom got a sneak peak and loved them. Feather and Fan is such an easy lace pattern, with a great result.

Now I've got three more different pairs of socks on the needles!

Tropical fruit socks finished

These are Meilenweit Cotton Fun and Stripes that I have nicknamed my Tropical Fruit Socks. So they had to pose with our ... tropical fruit. The yarn went to Las Vegas, and the first sock was started there a couple weeks ago. These are my 5th pair for 2005.

Rumba socks

This pair are for myself and I love them:

I used Dancing (cotton/wool/nylon/elastic blend) from KnitPicks. It is a very good choice for summer socks. You can see more photos on my blog.

I finished another pair of socks. These are Regia Tip & Top Color in color number 4075. I picked up at a 40% off Regia sale at Needleworks. I used an eye of the partridge heel and the round toe.

Another pair of Chutes and Ladder socks!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
These are my rendition of the pattern from the SixSoxKnitalong from Yahoo groups. My socks were done on size 1 needles in Lorna's Laces Bold Red. I loved the pattern and will probably be doing another pair soon!!!

Finished my first toeup pair!

These are my first attempt at toe-up socks using the magic loop method. I'm not sure I'm a convert to this method...but I will definitely keep it in my arsenal of techniques. The yarn for these socks is wonderful Koigu knit on US size 1 needles. The pattern is just stockinette foot and 2x2 ribbing for the cuff.

FiberTrend Favorite Socks...

Hi!
Just joined...and thought I'd post my first pair of socks and my current sock project...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Completed: May 2005
Yarn: Cherry Tree Hill Yarn
Color: Birches
Needle: US 2 (Clover Bamboo DPN)
Pattern: Fiber Trends Pattern (Favorite Socks)
Size:Tweaked a little for my small feet (Size 5 1/2 - 6)

I really enjoyed working with this yarn. However, I washed them by accident on hot with my whites and now they have this lovely halo. They are so soft.

Currently, I'm working on the Retro Rib Socks from IK...
I'm using Tess Designer Yarn (SuperSocks) for them, and I have to say this yarn is fantastic.

I love looking at all of your lovely socks...and am excited to join the group!

Pair 5!

I finished my 2nd pair in 2 days. Nothing for a while and then all at once. I did end up frogging the socks for my sock pal (evidence in the picture) and trying something new. These are charity kids socks made with wool & acrylic.

More chutes

I finished my Chutes and Ladders socks for the Six Socks Knitalong. I then cast on for a cotton blend sock in summery colored stripes. Here they are posing with our pineapple plant, at home. The picture looked in focus before I uploaded it.

Another Pair Down

This is my fourth finished pair since joining the knit along. I have another couple of pair that are in finishing type stages, but for now I present the autumnal socks!

(Shelby or Jacq could you please give me 4 stars and add my blog URL (www.stitchnbitchlafayette.us)?)

Chutes-N-Ladders

This is a pattern from SixSoxKnitAlong. I used Patons Kroy 4-ply with a gauge of 9 spi. I used tubular cast on and I love it!

Baby Socks

I just finished a pair of socks for a baby set:

Baby Set

and since I had so much fun knitting those little socks and I have leftover yarn, I have decided to keep knitting those for the new moms at Camp Pendleton:

Baby Socks

I started these in April. I didn't think they would ever be finished. I started referring to them as the "Socks that shall not be named." They are finally complete. Unfortunately, I have enough yarn for another pair and I never want to see that yarn again. Posted by Picasa

These were made from Elann Sock-It-To-Me Esprit yarn. I think the color is summer meadow. I used the Twisted Sisters Sock Workbook to help me work out the pattern. The pair took under a week to knit. Posted by Picasa

Pretty Comfy Socks

I couldn't get the link in the side bar for the Pretty Comfy socks to work so I googled and found the pattern HERE.

Another pair of socks set aside for cooler weather

I recently finished a pair of red socks in Cascade 220. They are not very fancy, just a simple K3, P1 rib all the way down, but they fit nicely and will be very nice this fall and winter when my tootsies get chilled. :)

I have two skeins of Fixation that I should get started on. I will probably make the Broad Ripple socks out of them, so that I have something pretty for the rest of the summer.

My camera is in the shop at the moment, but once it's back I'll try to get some shots up.

Blue Opal Musica's

Finally finished the musica socks, started them in mid February but other projects got in the way and I kept putting them aside. This last time I picked them up decided to finish so I would have a clear conscience in starting something new. Think I will flip a coin to see if I go with one of the Fortissima's or Regia silk & wool mixes.
