Ankle Sockies

Heres a pair of LynnH socks that I did over the weekend. I used US 4 DPN needles using a wonderful cotton blend yarn Bertagna Filati fashion. Love the pattern for these type of socks the sole is purls so you have a better fit & feeling on the inside when wearing with a shoe/clog or hanging around. A very well written pattern and can be done with any type of yarn or gauge..Wonderful! Did I mention it's a free pattern too. Six pages but nice to use again and again.

Hi everyone! I'm new here. This is the first pair of socks I've made in a number of years. I discovered self-striping yarn recently, and wow! What fun. LOL So, here's my first pair of self-striping socks, hot off the needles. They're a basic sock pattern except that instead of having ribbing at the top I opted for a picot edge. The yarn is Simple Stripes from KnitPicks.

Well it has been a while, but here is another pair of socks! The pattern is mock cable rib. the yarn is Socketta. I really liked knitting with a wool/cotton yarn. These are for my Sockapal2za friend. My next sock project will be my first toe up, two at a time, on circulars. We'll see how long it is before I check in again:) Posted by Picasa

Rainbow Footies

Thinking that I could se leftovers to make footies I set out to do it. Yep, I ended up having to buy a third skein, but I definitely think that they are worth it! This is my 8th pair since Sock it to Me started :-) These are all ready to be gifted because the giftee likes footies and I don't :-)

Hi sock pals!
I am so sorry we have been remiss in adding stars and coming to visit. When Shelby and I started this group - we only intended it to go on for about 3 months, but it seems to want to go on and on. In fact, I get emails almost every day from people who want to join! I think that's great and would love to keep going if you all want to. However, I'm not sure there is any way I can keep up with your progress...I can try, but no promises!!
How about this - the first of each month, you can email me with the number of stars you need and I'll put them up once a month? Or, we can do away with the stars (but they really are fun, aren't they?) and just share our socks and be here for each other? What do you all think??
In friendship,

Two More Pairs

Yikes, I sure did get lazy about posting! I finished these about two months ago and then went on a little sock break. These are the Waving Lace Socks from Interweave Knits Spring 'o4 using some KoolAid dyed yarn.

These I just finished about a week ago. Just your basic sock pattern and I used Fortissima Colori.

I have two more pairs on the needles and will start another one soon. I think this brings me up to 8 pairs for the knitalong. Anyone know when this ends?

Retro Rib Socks

I've finally completed my Retro Rib Socks!

I started these on vacation in the Caribbean...The latter part of May 2005.

Yarn: Tess Designer Supersock (love this yarn!)

Pattern: Fall 04 Interweave Knits - Retro Rib

Next pair? Possibly the Footies or FiberTrends Raindrop Lace or the Leaf Lace socks?

I'm waiting for my sock muse to return!

So that's two pairs down!
